MDT Field Stock Chassis System

MDT Sporting Goods is announcing a large “group release” of the Field Stock Chassis system that is compatible with several bolt-action rifle footprints including the Tikka T3/T3X long action, the Howa 1500 Long Action and stocks for both the Savage Axis Short and Long Actions. These new fits now join other MDT Sporting Good stock fit options like the classic Remington 700 short and long patter footprints, the Ruger American Short Action, the Howa 1500 Short Action, Savage Short Action, Savage Mk II, Tikka T3/T3X short actions, Tikka T1K and CZ 455s, all of which are already available and compatible with the MDT Field Stock Chassis System.

The Field Stock Chassis system is an aftermarket modern rifle chassis that is designed with a butt stock and nearly vertical pistol grip/wrist portion meant for contemporary marksmanship techniques, as well as a freefloat fore-end for consistency and precision. The fore-end also features industry standard M-Lok inlets to facilitate the mounting of accessories. The adjustability of this rifle system allows for end users to better fit the stock and cheek risers to their body and their face/eyes in relationship to their magnified optic.

In traditional bolt action rifles, the action length is determined by the rifle cartridge’s length. Cartridges like .223 Rem, 6.5 Creedmoor and .308 Win. use cases that correspond to short actions, while more traditional cartridges like the 6.5x55 Swede, .30-06 Sprg. and .270 Win, which are loaded in longer cases, typically require a long action receive with its own unique footprints.

MDT Field Stock Chassis System Features and Specifications:

  • Adjustable buttstock
  • Freefloat barrel design
  • V-Block aluminum bedding system
  • High-strength polymer construction
  • Available in Flat Dark Earth or black
