Leupold VX-5HD Gen 2 Riflescopes

Leupold & Stevens, Inc. is launching the new VX-5HD Gen 2 family of riflescopes which feature Leupold’s Professional-Grade Optical System to deliver the precision serious shooters demand. With a SpeedSet elevation dial for tool-free zeroing, competition-grade adjustments, a redesigned maintube for increased elevation travel, an integrated throw lever and a rugged construction, the VX-5HD Gen 2 is the built for the great outdoors.

“The VX-5HD line has been the greatest value in riflescopes since the moment we introduced it. It outperforms everything in its class,” said Tim Lesser, vice president of product development and marketing for Leupold. “But our team never quits innovating. The new VX-5HD Gen 2 still has everything that made it one of our most popular scopes and is adding several new features and enhancements hunters will appreciate.”

The VX-5HD Gen 2 is built around Leupold’s Professional-Grade Optical System, which delivers outstanding light transmission, glare reduction and resolution. Guard-Ion lens coatings shed dirt and water for edge-to-edge clarity. The optical performance and new competition-grade precision adjustments which mirror what is found on the award-winning Mark series of riflescopes ensure that the VX-5HD Gen 2 line delivers repeatable accuracy and precision.

This new evolution adds Leupold’s innovative SpeedSet elevation dial, eliminating the need for tools when zeroing or changing custom dials. By lifting the lever on the SpeedSet dial, shooters will be able to reset the zero on their elevation dial without having to use tools. The new dial features Leupold’s push-button ZeroLock system, preventing accidental dial movement. Every VX-5HD Gen 2 scope is eligible for one free custom dial to match your exact load, muzzle velocity and environmental conditions. Leupold’s CDS system compensates for bullet drop and helps shooters make ultra-quick elevation adjustments on the fly. Additional dials are available for a nominal fee.

“Whether you’re having a hard time seeing your target, got lost in your dope or were simply slow to adjust and missed your opportunity, the result is the same. A miss is a miss,” said Vici Peters, Gold Ring Product Line Manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “The VX-5HD Gen 2 is built for hunters who demand precision and performance–hunters who don’t leave things to chance. The CDS dial system is a key part of that. With just a few pieces of information, almost all available on the back of any box of ammunition, we can make dialing for distance incredibly simple.”

The VX-5HD Gen 2 scopes are available in six configurations: 1-5x24mm, 2-10x42mm, 3-15x44mm, 3-15x50mm, 3-15x56mm and 4-20x52mm.

The lightweight construction of the VX-5HD Gen 2 disperses recoil energy for more durability, and the scopes are all waterproof, fog proof and backed by Leupold’s Lifetime Guarantee.
