KGM is launching the new FDP Suppressor, a unique pistol silencer that does not require a threaded barrel to attach or be used with a pistol.

"The FDP Suppressor model is a uniquely capable suppressor that we are excited to bring to the U.S. market," said Sean Murphy, VP of Product Management. "After we signed the partnership with Fischer Development to bring their design to the US, we found a few design changes needed to meet US regulations. We are excited to have an approved modular mounting system so that users can customize their suppressor setup to fit their preferred host. Work is already underway for additional adapters that fit other popular pistol platforms."

The FDP Suppressor does not mount directly to the handgun’s barrel ,which means it doesn’t need either a threaded barrel or booster. Instead, this one-of-a-kind handgun suppressor is built around a chassis that latches onto the handgun’s own accessory rail. To accomplish this, it uses a series of patented adapter modules. By virtue of being ‘free-floated’ and not part of the barrel system, the FDP doesn’t affect the standard cycling operation of pistols, nor will it impart an ammunition point-of-impact shift. In a sense this outside-the-box device acts more like a standalone trap that captures the expanding gasses and muzzle blasts.

FDP Suppressor Features

  • Quick-attach system: Patented latch system for quick attachment to the host pistol’s rail without a need for screws or bolts, streamlining the installation process.
  • Precision and accuracy: No change to the sighting system’s point of impact or precision, providing consistent accuracy even with the suppressor attached.
  • No modifications required: The FDP suppressor seamlessly integrates with the host pistol without any modifications, ensuring that the firearm’s original functionality remains intact.
  • User configurable: Modular attachment allows user to easily change attachments for different host firearms.
  • Ammunition versatility: The suppressor is compatible with both subsonic and supersonic ammunition, providing users with the flexibility to choose their preferred loads without compromising performance.
  • Durable construction: Crafted from high-quality aluminum, the suppressor features a hard-coat anodized finish and a Cerakote finish on the exterior. This robust construction enhances durability, ensuring longevity and resistance to wear and tear.
  • Wet or dry suppression: The FDP can operate as a wet or dry suppressor.
  • Easy maintenance: The suppressor’s design facilitates easy disassembly for maintenance purposes.

The FPD Suppressor has an MSRP of $750. To learn more, visit fd-suppressors.com.
