CZ-USA is adding another member to the CZ-600 family, its popular flagship line of centerfire bolt-action rifles. The company's latest newcomer is the CZ-600 Range Rifle, with defining features like a laminated, target-style stock for positional shooting and a bull barrel.
The new CZ-600 Range Rifle is built around 24-inch, heavy-profile, cold-hammer-forged .308 Winchester or 6mm Creedmoor barrel guaranteed to shoot ¾-MOA groups at 100 yards with most factory match cartridges. The barrel is also threaded for use with suppressors or other muzzle devices. The CZ-600 action boasts a 60-degree bolt throw and ensures enough clearance between the bolt knob and any optics that may be mounted on the receiver. This rifle also has a controlled feed mechanism for reliability, with a short extractor that grips the rim of the casing from the moment the magazine springs it up all the way until it is locked into the breech. Magazines detach from the bottom of the action but are also able to be topped off through the top of the gun through the rifle’s ejection port.
The CZ-600 Range Rifle’s laminated hook shaped stock is ideal for positional range shooting and comes inspired from competition style target rifles. Laminated wood is used in such stocks due to their rigidity and superior resistance to humidity. The bottom of the stock has a section of Picatinny rail to attach a monopod. The butt also has a tool-free adjustable cheekpiece and QD sockets.
