Christensen Arms Modern Precision Pistol

Christensen Arms has recently relaunched its Modern Precision Pistol, a bolt-action, large-format, centerfire pistol that uses an aluminum FS1913A folding stabilizing brace from SB Tactical.

The name Modern Precision Pistol is a riff off of Christensen Arms’ Modern Precision Rifle, and this new gun endeavors to keep the same level of accuracy and precision potential as the larger firearm, with a more compact form factor optimized for portability and size.

The Modern Precision Pistol is chambered for either the .308 Win. or 6.5 Creedmoor rifle cartridges. These bolt-action pistols include a target-profile 12.5-inch barrel made from 416R stainless steel wrapped in a carbon-fiber shroud. The muzzle comes with a removable stainless steel muzzle brake and has the industry standard ⅝x24-inch threads.

The Modern Precision Pistol uses a Christensen Arms action, which is based on the venerable Remington 700 bolt-action pattern. The Modern Precision Pistol’s action accepts detachable AICS-pattern magazines and comes equipped with a flat-faced TriggerTech trigger. In addition to this, the Modern Precision Pistol’s action is V-block bedded to its proprietary, aluminum pistol chassis. The SB Tactical aluminum FS1913A brace attaches to the pistol chassis’ rear vertical Picatinny rail surface. This stabilizing brace is also equipped with a hinging knuckle that allows the unit to be folded to the left when not in use.

“The relaunched MPP delivers the same precision and reliability our customers expect from Christensen Arms, now in a compact pistol platform,” said Shane Meisel, vice president of marketing at Christensen Arms. “Whether you’re navigating rugged terrain or competing at the range, the MPP is built to excel in any scenario.”

Christensen Arms manufactures the Modern Precision Pistol completely in the United States of America, with an MSRP of $2,295.
