Bushmaster rifle

The .450 Bushmaster holds a special place in firearms lore. The round was first imagined by legendary gun writer and firearms trainer Col. Jeff Cooper in conjunction with Hornady ammunition and Bushmaster firearms, and the cartridge was created as a round that could provide a heavier, hard-hitting thump to AR-15 style firearms.

Now Bushmaster is continuing that legacy of AR-15 with the introduction of their new 450 Bushmaster Rifle, which is chambered in the cartridge for which it is named. The 450 Bushmaster Rifle features type III hard coat anodizing on the upper and lower receiver and a 14-inch free-float rail covered with M-Lok slots on the sides and a standard Picatinny rail on the top. The upper receiver is also topped with a length of Picatinny rail, allowing you to mount the optic or sighting system of your choice, along with any number of lights, lasers and other accessories to the rifle.

The 450 Bushmaster rifle is ready and able to handle deer, bear, and boar, and is designed from the ground up to significantly reduce felt recoil. The 20-inch long barrel on the rifle has a 1:24-inch twist rate to help stabilize heavier bullets, and there's a Snake Charmer muzzle brake on the end to reduce felt recoil. Inside the upper is a Salt Bath Nitride Bolt Carrier Group and an MPI tested bolt. There is a DM2S  two-stage trigger inside the lower, and rear of the gun has an A2 pattern stock.

450 Bushmaster Rifle Features:

  • Caliber: .450 Bushmaster
  • Weight: 7.06 pounds
  • Length: 40 inches
  • Handguard: BFI 14-inch Free Float Handguard
  • Barrel: 1:24-inch twist rate, 20-inch Barrel
  • Muzzle Device: Snake Charmer 11/16 x 24 tpi
  • Magazine: 5 Round
  • Gas System: Carbine Length

MSRP for the 450 Bushmaster Rifle is $1,329.99, and more information on this firearm and other products from Bushmaster is available at bushmaster.com.
