Brownells Kymount flash hider

Brownells has just released two new flash hiders that are compatible with Dead Air’s Sandman suppressor product line. Both of the new muzzle devices are available with 1/2x28 and 5/8x24 tpi threads, and are suitable for .223-inch through .300-inch calibers such as 5.56 NATO or .300 Blackout. These flash hiders are available in the tried and true three prong or birdcage arrangements while also incorporating the Dead Air Keymount quick suppressor attachment system. Besides being fully compatible with the Sandman suppressor product line, these Brownells Keymount flash hiders will also work with most other Keymount compatible suppressors.

The Dead Air Silencer’s Sandman series has quickly become one of the go-to options in the past few years due to their performance and the Keymount quick detachable system, which makes them extremely modular. These suppressors are available in compact and full-size configurations in both .223-inch diameter and .300-inch diameter calibers. Their baffles are welded as a single unit from Stellite and come apart easily to clean and maintain.

Brownells manufactures these new flash hiders from 4140 chrome moly steel and finishes them in black nitride. The muzzle devices are also intended to give rifle barrels measuring at least 13.7 inches an overall length of 16 inches when the devices are properly pinned, welded and installed. In fact, Brownells made sure that there was plenty of surface area on the back of these flash hiders in order for a gunsmith to easily pin and weld and do everything to permanently affix this to a barrel.

Brownells is selling each of these flash hiders with a retail price of $105, regardless of thread pitch, caliber diameter or flash hider configuration. For more information on these new muzzle devices, please visit Brownells website at brownells.com.
