Brownells Gunsmithing Vise

Brownells is launching the Brownells Gunsmith Vise, a heavy-duty bench vise designed to meet the needs of professional gunsmiths and enthusiasts alike. A sturdy vise is the cornerstone of any gunsmith's workbench, and the new Brownells Gunsmith Vise delivers excellent strength and durability.

Forged in Germany, this vise is engineered to handle the most demanding tasks with precision and reliability, with precision-aligned jaws as well as optional bases and jaw inserts. The 4¾-inch-wide jaws have hardened steel faces that can withstand high torque without flexing, making it ideal for removing or installing barrels. The base jaws of the vise are reversible and replaceable, with both smooth and "checkered" texture faces to suit various tasks. Magnetic jaw inserts are available separately to provide additional customization for specific work. The vise can be bolted directly to a workbench or used with optional rotating bases for added flexibility.

The green finish pays homage to the classic Brownells Multi-Vise, emblematic of the company's tradition and quality, in addition to guarding against corrosion. There is a centrally positioned spindle with a double-action, rolled trapezoidal thread for optimal clamping force. Electro-galvanized for corrosion resistance, the spindle assembly includes a precision spindle bearing and forged spindle nut for added strength. The zinc spindle key, with riveted safety rings, can be adjusted via a single screw for ease of use.

The Gunsmith Vise is backed by Brownells' Lifetime Guarantee, and the MSRP for the vise starts at $399, and the MSRP for the wide range of accessories varies by accessory type. More information on this vise and other gunsmithing products from Brownells is available at brownells.com.
