First Look: Beretta 92X RDO Handgun

Beretta USA is launching the new 92X RDO, the newest pistol in their venerable 90 series family that is ideally suited for competitive dynamic shooting and defensive purposes. Some of the performance-based features of this new pistol include a slide that is optics-ready with dovetailed combat sights for optimal sight options, a short reset trigger, and a Beretta Vertec frame with Vertec-style thin grips.

“We are proud to launch the latest variant of the new 92X family of pistols," Gabriele de Plano, Vice President of BDT Marketing & Operations, said. “This launch continues the long history of success of the Beretta 92 series, now integrating features modern shooters demand.”

The new American-built 92X RDO continues the evolution of an iconic series of pistols. The gun ships with with blank slide covers, and there are integral slide cuts to allow for the mounting of of one of five different optional optic plate mounts. allowing the end-user to mount all of the most popular optic variants on the market today. The 92X RDO also features a short reset trigger for faster trigger pulls.

Front slide serrations enable the end-user to manipulate the slide in different weather and lighting conditions, and the aggressively textured Vertec-style thin grips and front and backstrap checkering allows for instinctive control and pointing. There is also a beveled magazine for easy and quick magazine changes.

The 92X RDO’s universal slide design features Vertec-style dovetail sights and an easily replaceable control lever that allows the user to convert from safety-decocker (F) to decocker-only (G) style and back. The pistol also features a removable front sight and a variety of accessory options are possible thanks to the built-in 3-slot Picatinny rail located in front of the trigger guard, letting you mount the light, laser or other accessory of your choice to the 92X RDO.

This new pistol comes with two 18-round, coated magazines, with 10 and 15-round magazine capacity options available for capacity-limited states. The 92X RDO has an MSRP of $699. For more information on this pistol and other products from Beretta USA, please visit beretta.com.
