Athlon Optics based out of Olathe, KS, is known for riflescopes that offer an extremely good performance to price ratio. Now Athlon is unveiling the second generation of the Talos BTR series of scopes. this new generation of the Talos BTR does what Athlon does best and pushes the envelope of scope features and performance with an attractive price point. The first two releases of this second generation of Talos optics is a low powered variable optic (LPVO) and a 4-14 x 44 first focal plane scope.

 

Talos BTR Gen2 1-4 x 24 (Second Focal Plane) Low Powered Variable Optic:

The Talos BTR Gen2 LPVO is an affordable second focal plane scope that is ideal for modern carbines being used at close to intermediate distances.

Talos BTR Gen2 4-14 x 44 (First Focal Plane) Riflescope:

Scopes with first focal plane reticles are generally more expensive as they are more complicated to manufacture, but the Talos BTR Gen2 4-14 x 44 is probably one of the most budget friendly first focal plane scope options on the market today. Athlon has two MIL/MRAD models and one MOA model as part of their offerings. Depending on the rifle, this scope can help a shooter reach out and touch targets up to 1000 yards.
