Armasight has just unveiled the new Sidekick 320 handheld thermal 12 micron monocular optic. This new thermal optic is one of the smallest currently available on the market today, weighing less than 7.5 ounces. The Sidekick 320 uses a fast 60Hz frame rate for smooth operation and outstanding visual acuity, based on Armasight’s Iron Wolf thermal technology platform. The Sidekick 320’s display 1024x768 pixel OLED display with a crisp images that also offers multiple color palettes and has easy to see symbols and icons. The entire device is powered by a single CR123A battery that provides a full hour of runtime at an ambient temperature of 20 degrees Celsius. Due to its small size, the Armasight 320 Sidekick can also be helmet or headset mounted in addition to being used as a handheld device. With only 3 control buttons, the unit can easily be manipulated out in the field. This includes a one touch video recording setting making capturing video a seamless experience. The Armasight Sidekick 320 also shares compatibility with the Ravyn Rail Bridge Mount for helmet mounting with PVS-14, MNVD or even another Sidekick 320.
