GiantMouse Knives has just released their latest newcomer to its ACE line of folding pocket knives, the new ACE REO. The ACE REO pocket knife has a 3.32-inch blade constructed from CPM MagnaCut steel which does a good job at not only maintaining a keen edge, but also keeping that edge for some time. Like other ACE family brethren, the new GiantMouse ACE REO will ship with either G10 or Micarta Canvas grip panels with a “diamond plate” milled surface to provide an assertive grip for any cutting task.

GiantMouse designers Jens Ansø and Jesper Voxnæs took inspiration from the old school REO Motor Car Company and “REO Town” in Lansing, MI, for the design of the ACE REO knife. Originally founded by Ransom E. Olds in 1904, the REO Motor Car Company was known for streamlining and setting trends in the American automotive market during the dawn of the automobile era a century ago. REO Town is nearby GiantMouses’ new Michigan headquarters and has become a new favorite of the GiantMouse crew due to its dive bars, craft brewery, “Good Trucking Diner” and eclectic retail shops.

ACE REO Materials:

  • Blade Steel: CPM Magnacut
  • Blade Finish: Stonewash or satin finish
  • Handle: G10 or Canvas Micarta
  • Clip: reversible, wire
  • Pivot Mechanism: Ball bearing
  • Locking Mechanism: Liner lock
  • Backspacer: Titanium

ACE REO Dimensions:

  • Blade Length: 3.325 inches
  • Blade Thickness: 0.125 inches
  • Handle Length: 4.6175 inches
  • Overall Length: 7.94
  • Weight: 2.9 or 2.7 ounces

The GiantMouse ACE REO blades are manufactured to high standards in Maniago, Italy. All GiantMouse ACE REO knives retail for $195.
