The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued safety guidelines on Sunday recommending that larger gatherings or community events be postponed or cancelled in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Among the steps it suggests to minimize the spread of COVID-19 is a recommendation “that for the next 8 weeks, organizers (whether groups of individuals) cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 or more people throughout the United States.”

Out of an abundance of caution for the safety the enthusiasts, their families and general public, the firearm industry responded, as events like the NRA Annual Meeting were cancelled. The industry was ahead of the curve, in reality, with multiple postponements and cancellations already announced. This list of cancellations is not exhaustive and—because the situation is changing by the minute—confirmation of any event’s status is highly recommended during this outbreak.
