Elite Tactical Systems announced the introduction of its clear polymer competition-legal 9 mm Glock magazines, which is the first magazine of its type.

The 27-round magazine is made from clear, durable polymer to allow competition shooters to reduce the number of magazine changes necessary to complete a course of fire. In addition, the see-through polymer allows users to easily identify what kind of ammo they have in each magazine, as well as determine how many rounds are left.

Overall length of the magazine body is 170 mm, which makes it eligible for use in competition shooting. The magazines are designed to be impact-resistant to ensure that the body will not crack when dropped and that the feed lips will not spread open when the magazine is stored fully loaded. The polymer is also designed to be resistant to harsh cleaning chemicals and to withstand extreme heat and cold without becoming brittle.

Other benefits of the magazine include an ergonomically designed floor plate that allows it to be easily grabbed from a magazine pouch. The proprietary floor plate design also makes for easy disassembly, and the magazine itself is compatible with Glock factory floor plates and other aftermarket options.

ETS Group also sells a 22-round clear polymer Glock magazine that is only 0.7 inch longer than a standard Glock G17 magazine while offering an extra five rounds. Both models are compatible with the G17, G19, G26 and the G34, and both retail at a suggested price of $21.99.
