In 2017, 3-Gun Nation will sponsor five championship matches leading up to a final competition at 3GN Nationals on Nov. 11-12 at Virginia International Raceway. The regionals schedule is designed to provide as many opportunities as possible for 3-gun shooters to get into a match.

One major change this year is that all 3GN Pro Series events will move to Regional Series event weekends, which creates a more high-profile weekend for all 3GN members. Every regional event will feature one side shoot, which will be either Shotgun Speed or pistol matches. The events will also feature a prize table-only event with a reduced fee for members.

In addition, every event in 2017 will feature 3GN Training, which allows members to get involved by attending classes or trying out a side match. The 3GN 2017 series schedule is as follows:

MIM Myths

Metal-injection molding (MIM) creates complex, durable and reliable metal parts in things we use daily. Its ability to churn out high volumes at reduced cost endeared it to the firearm industry decades ago. Despite that fact, gun companies we asked about the process were tight lipped.
