The AR-15 is one of America’s most popular firearms. Endlessly upgradeable and adaptable, the AR-15 can fulfill almost any role you might need. That ability to upgrade means your AR-15 is literally the sum of its parts, so starting off with premium parts means you’ll have less to change out and upgrade as you start to enjoy your rifle.

Now Smith & Wesson Inc. is launching a new AR-15 pattern rifle, the M&P15T II. The rifle is chambered in 5.56 NATO and features premium enhancements such as a full-length aluminum M-Lok handguard, flat face trigger, Magpul CTR stock, M&P grip, and more.

Vince Perreault, Senior Brand Manager for Smith and Wesson, said, “With the M&P15T II, we set out to include some of the latest features that consumers demand on a high-end MSR—a full-length handguard, flat face trigger, ambidextrous controls, and more. The M&P15T II delivers premium enhancements in a high-performance modern sporting rifle.”

The M&P15T II rifle has a free-float, 16-inch barrel that features 5R Rifling and a twist rate of 1:8 inches. The rifle is equipped with a mid-length gas system delivering reduced recoil and efficient cycling. The M&P15T II also features a forged, oversized trigger guard to provide maximum clearance when wearing gloves and is equipped with a new flat face trigger for crisp and consistent trigger pull.

It comes standard with a Radian Raptor-LT charging handle, providing ambidextrous manipulation of the charging handle. The icing on the cake for this rifle is a Magpul CTR carbine-length stock and 15-inch aluminum M-Lok handguard that is topped with Magpul MBUS sights.

The MSRP on the new M&P15T II rifle is $1,372. For more information on this new rifle or other products from Smith & Wesson, please visit smith-wesson.com.
