Ground was broken and construction began on a 40,500-square foot, state-of-the-art SIG Sauer Experience Center began this month. The facility will be located on the grounds of the SIG Sauer Academy in Epping, NH, a world-class 140-acre training facility.

When completed, the SIG Sauer Experience center will feature a flagship retail showroom, state-of-the-art indoor shooting ranges and a high-tech, interactive museum depicting the history of the company. There will also be a one-of-a-kind educational experience for its products, as well as multi-purpose meeting space and conference rooms.

“SIG Sauer is growing, and we are excited to officially break ground for the SIG Sauer Experience to mark the beginning of another phase of our evolution,” said Ron Cohen, president and CEO or SIG Sauer. “This facility will attract visitors to the New England region from all over the world and create new jobs, and we view this endeavor as a true partnership with our state and local leaders that have worked hard to foster an environment where SIG can grow and thrive and are one of the secrets to our continued success and growth here in New Hampshire.”

SIG Sauer Academy already attracts thousands of military, law enforcement and security personnel to its location annually for advanced training. The facility also hosts a variety of courses tailored for civilian gun enthusiasts—from knowledgeable to first-time firearm owner—interested in improving their pistol, rifle and shotgun skills. Armorer’s certifications are also offered. Indoor and outdoor ranges, tactical areas, urban environments, a maritime training facility and a shoot house at the site supplement classroom sessions.

Design and construction services for the SIG Sauer Experience Center are being provided by North Branch Construction. The architectural design was by Cowan Goudreau Architects and T.F. Moran, Inc., is handling civil engineering duties during the project. All three companies are based in New Hampshire.
