SCCY Firearms recently released its new DVG-1 and DVG-1RD (Red Dot) pistol series to its lineup for 2020. The DVG series of pistols are striker-fired, use SCCY's proprietary Quadlock Barrel System and are chambered in 9 mm. This new striker-fired series joins the hammer-fired CPX-3 in .380 ACP (reviewed here) and the CPX-2 in 9 mm (reviewed here) and continues SCCY's tradition of including red-dot sights as in the recent release of the CPX Red Dot.

The DVG is available with or without a factory installed Crimson Trace CTS-1500 red-dot sight which offers more than 20,000 hours of battery life. A 3.5-MOA dot gives a balance of rapid acquisition and precision and the optic comes with a 3-year warranty.

Forward slide serrations have been added for ease of manipulation in even the most austere conditions. A flat-face, 5.5-pound trigger with minimal pre/post travel and a new, enhanced grip texture are engineered for everyday carry.

The DVG Series will be competitively priced with a MSRP of $289 (DVG-1) and $389 (DVG-1RD). Both DVG pistols are expected to begin shipping to distributors in the first quarter of 2020.

Although chilly, it was the first decent day after two weeks of brutal cold. When I arrived at the range in the early afternoon, every bench was occupied. Seeing me, one guy in the middle of the line said he was leaving. Once it was clear, I grabbed the bench and started unloading my gear.
