RISE Armament sponsored the 11th hole during The Patriot Cup golf tournament—the flagship fundraiser for non-profit Folds of Honor—over Memorial Day weekend. In lieu of golfing at the hole, participants competed in a timed paintball course.

“We were excited and honored to again be involved with the Folds of Honor organization and participate in the Patriot Cup,” said Matt Torres, president of Rise Armament. “The event plays a major role in the foundation’s fundraising for educational scholarships for the families of fallen or wounded soldiers—a mission we’re proud to support.”

The Patriot Cup Invitational, an annual weekend golf tournament and national gala celebrating our nation’s heroes, was followed on May 27 by the Folds of Honor hosted The Patriot Cup. The exclusive, invitation-only golf tournament was conducted at the Patriot Golf Club in Owasso, OK. This event is attended by players from the PGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions and LPGA Tour. In addition, military golfers from across the country and a host of celebrities are on hand to create an unforgettable experience for the families of fallen and disabled service members. The weekend-long tournament ended with a salute to our troops.

Funds raised through the event help fund Folds of Honor educational scholarships, which go exclusively to families of military men and women who have fallen or been disabled while on active duty in the United States Armed Forces. The 501(c)3 organization was founded in 2007 by Maj. Dan Rooney and has a achieved a 4/4 star rating by Charity Navigator.

The organization provides up to $5,000 in economic assistance for students ranging in age from kindergarten to university level under its Children’s Fund Scholarship and Higher Education Scholarships programs. Eighty-six cents of every dollar collected by the group are distributed to deserving youths through the efforts.
