New for 2019: Ruger Wrangler .22 LR Revolver

Ruger’s single-action revolvers are some of the most legendary guns available, and the company's .22 LR Single Six has been a proven performer in the market of rimfire revolvers. For years, buying a Single Six was the preferred method of introducing young or first-time enthusiasts to the shooting sport, but prices on that that terrific little gun crept up in recent years, make them less affordable for those looking for an easy entry into the world of rimfire shooting.

However, with the introduction of the new Wrangler .22 LR single-action revolver, Ruger reinvigorated its long and rich history of producing quality, rugged, reliable single-action revolvers that are affordable for just about everyone. With a low entry price and the affordability of rimfire ammunition, the Ruger Wrangler once again cement’s Ruger’s reputation for building affordable, reliable pistols that are perfect for learning to shoot, introducing friends or family to the sport or just experiencing the fun of single-action shooting.

Bill Ruger pioneered the use of modern investment casting in firearms manufacturing with the introduction of the Single-Six in 1953, ushering in a new level of affordability in single-action revolvers. With the use of modern CNC-machining methods, modern manufacturing techniques and a new aluminum-alloy frame, the Wrangler continues that tradition, setting a new standard for affordability while still maintaining the rugged reliability for which Ruger guns are known. Each pistol features a six-round cylinder and loads like a traditional, single action revolver, coming complete with a loading gate and spring-loaded clearing rod to remove spent cases.

The Ruger Wrangler is initially offered in three attractive Cerakote models: black, silver and bronze. The new Wrangler is a feature-packed revolver, coming equipped with standard checkered black grip panels that are 100 percent compatible with panels for the Single Six revolver, allowing you to customize the Wrangler to your heart’s content. As an added bonus, the Wrangler will fit in Single-Six holsters that accommodate 4-5/8-inch barrels. The suggested retail price on the revolver is $249, and more information on the new Wrangler is available at ruger.com.
