Magtech Recalls Lot of 5.56 NATO Ammo

Magtech is recalling one lot of 5.56 NATO Ball M193 centerfire ammunition. Enthusiasts should immediately stop using any Magtech’s 5.56x45 mm Ball M193 Symbol 556A that has a Lot Number of CBC 0141/18.

The company has determined the 5.56 NATO cartridges in this lot number may contain incorrect powder charges. Ammunition with incorrect powder charges may cause firearm damage or render it inoperable, and/or subjecting the shooter and bystanders to a risk of serious personal injury or death.

The Lot Number and Symbol are printed on the top flap of the 50-round box. This notice applies only to Symbol 556A with Lot Number CBC 0141/18. Other Symbol or Lot Numbers are not subject to this recall.

Review the Symbol and Lot Number to determine if your ammunition is subject to this notice. If it is Symbol 556A with Lot Number CBC 0141/18, immediately discontinue use and contact Magtech toll-free by calling (800) 466-7191. Magtech will arrange for the return shipment of the ammunition and, upon receipt, will send replacement cartridges at no cost.
