For the first time in almost 10 years, JP Enterprises launched a new model of bolt-action rifle: the MR-19. This new precision action builds on the success of the company's earlier MOR-07 and the MR-10 and brings benefits and lessons learned from JP's semi-automatic actions to the bolt-gun world.

“Bolt guns are not what people immediately think of when they hear ‘JP,’ but we’re no stranger to this market,” says JP founder and head of product development John Paul. “I really view it as taking what makes our gas guns work so well and bringing that to the bolt gun world.  As happy as I am with the viability of our gas guns, the bolt guns will always have a place in precision shooting. The MR-19 makes that place as competitive as it can be.”

Released at SHOT Show 2019, the JP Enterprises MR-19 makes use of the company's innovative APAC rifle chassis, which is ambidextrous and allows for users to find the best-possible custom fit. Inside the chassis, consumers will find the Ultimatum Precision Deadline short action, built with a three-lug bolt and a short, 60-degree bolt throw. The incorporation of this popular precision-rifle action into the MR-19 is the culmination of a yearlong collaboration between the two companies, as both engineering teams worked together in the development of an ideal precision rifle.

Mated to the Ultimatum Deadline action is a 26-inch Proof Research barrel complete with a customized contour. The barrels are machined from 416R stainless steel and are cut-rifled, air-gauged and cryogenically treated. The muzzles are 5/8-24 TPI threaded and topped with the user's choice of compensator. Standard caliber offerings in the JP Enterprises MR-19 are 6mm Creedmoor and 6.5 Creedmoor, while custom calibers and other options are available through the company's custom ordering system. Both left- and right-handed actions are offered, and the gun also ships with a Magpul MIAD pistol grip, full-length Arca-Swiss adapter and JP's own Thermal Dissipator heat sink. The rifles are equipped with a single-stage, user-adjustable trigger that ships from the factory with a 2-pound pull weight.

Each rifle feeds from AICS-pattern magazines and ships with a custom-cut Pelican iM3200 Storm Long Case, as well as a 10-round magazine and a 1/2 MOA accuracy guarantee. The suggested retail price on the JP Enterprises MR-19 is $4,999.
