Generally, when consumers think of AR-style .308 Win. rifles, they think of DMRs, precision gas guns and other rifle-length options that tend to be heavier and larger than the AR-15. However, Moriarti Armaments offers a unique take on the AR-10 platform with the launch of the company's MA-10 AR-style pistols chambered in .308 Win.

Each Moriarti Armaments MA-10 pistol is built on the company's DPMS-pattern billet receiver, which is finished with a tension screw and an integrated trigger guard. The lower is mated with a billet upper complete with a low-profile design and a flattop Picatinny rail that provides a ready mounting surface for optics. The upper receiver features a 10-inch barrel machined from 4150 chrome-moly vanadium steel, which is manufactured by Ballistic Advantage. The barrel is rifled with a 1:10-inch twist rate and is outfitted with a carbine-length gas system complete with a .750-inch low-profile gas block.

Surrounding the 10-inch barrel on the Moriarti Armaments MA-10 pistol is an Enhanced Series KeyMod handguard, and an M-Lok handguard is also available. The barrel is topped with a flash-reducing cone, which sits snugly underneath the handguard for a sleek, streamlined appearance. Furniture-wise, each MA-10 pistol is outfitted with a standard A2 pistol grip and an SB Tactical SBA3 pistol-stabilizing brace. The brace is attached to a .308 receiver extension.

Other features found on the Moriarti Armaments MA-10 pistols include a nitride-finished bolt-carrier group, and the exterior of the gun is treated with an all-black, hard-anodized finish. Unloaded, the gun weighs 7 pounds, and each pistol ships with a single magazine. The suggested retail price on the new .308 Win., AR-style pistol is $1,500.
