Hogue has long been associated with its overmolded rubber grips and stocks, and the company offered its overmolded designs, complete with finger grooves, in conjunction with a built-in laser to aid in aiming. Now, all-new options are available in the company's line of Laser-Enhanced 1911 grips, constructed from durable, cutting-edge materials designed to last and offer enhanced texture.

"Our popular Laser-Enhanced 1911 grips are now available with precision cut piranha grip textured G10 or finely checkered reinforced wood laminate materials," said LE Grip designer and managing partner Jim Bruhns. "In addition, we have each variation available in both Government and Officer Model fits."

Inside of each Hogue Laser-Enhanced 1911 grips, consumers will find a digitally controlled microprocessor, which can be programmed by the end user to project one of three separate modes. Hogue offers a steady-on, flashing or stealth-target mode. Laser-intensity can also be customized by the end user, with four different brightness levels offered by the built-in circuit. The unit itself is powered by a pair of CR-2032 batteries located on the under the non-laser-equipped grip. This location enables users to change the batteries in their laser grip without having to re-zero the laser itself.

The laser-aiming unit is located at the top of the right-side grip, providing a low-profile unit that projects a laser beam along the right side of the pistol frame. Pressure-sensitive pads allow for activation and adjustment of the programming elements included with the grip. All Hogue Laser-Enhanced 1911 grips are zeroed at the factory, but windage and elevation adjustments can be made by the end user, should they want to adjust the zero on their unit. G10 fiberglass-laminate options are available in the company's G-Mascus black, green and dark earth colors, while wood-laminate options can be had in walnut, rosewood and blackwood options. The suggested retail price on the laser grips starts at $239.95.
