At the 2018 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, DoubleStar Corp. rolled out its unique ARP7 AR-15 pistol. This all-new design incorporates many of the company's specially built components rolled into one platform designed for a variety of uses.

"This pistol is the ideal truck or trunk gun," said Nick Collier, director of special operations. "Whether you are traveling or hitting the trails, I'm never leaving home without mine again. During testing, we used a small red-dot and were able to make quick shots with accurate follow up shots, thanks to the Big Timber Brake and the Strongarm Pistol Brace."

The pistol is chambered in 5.56 NATO and is built on a forged 7075 T6 aluminum lower with a hard-coat anodized finish. The receiver mates up with a 7.5-inch HBAR barrel machined from 4140 chrome moly steel, which features a twist rate of 1:9-inch. The free-float barrel is equipped with a low-profile gas block and is surrounded by the company's own handguard design, the 7-inch Cloak fore-end complete with M-Lok attachment slots.

At the other end of the gun, consumers will see the company's new Strongarm pistol-stabilizing brace, a billet-aluminum design that clamps onto the pistol's buffer tube to provide a solid third point of contact for more-accurate shooting. Other features on the DoubleStar ARP7 pistol include an ambidextrous safety selector, Ergo Grips Sure Grip and a billet-aluminum charging handle complete with a Tac-Latch made by Strike Industries. The pistol is also equipped with a standard mil-spec trigger group.

The suggested retail price on the DoubleStar ARP7 is $1,299.99.
