Smith & Wesson expanded its lineup of rimfire competition pistols with several new models in the SW22 Victory lineup. These Target models are straight from the Smith & Wesson Performance Center and are loaded with features designed to help rimfire competitors excel at their next event.

“The Performance Center SW22 Victory Target pistols are competition-ready and have been designed for the serious target shooter," said Tony Miele, general manager of the Performance Center. "These pistols have all of the upgrades needed to make them competition-ready, including adjustable target triggers, specialty target barrels and grips. The Performance Center SW22 Victory Target pistols have custom features, available right out of the box from the Performance Center.”

Chambered in .22 LR, these guns are equipped with 6-inch barrels designed for precision shooting. Two barrel options are available on the new lineup, one with linear fluting and another with a carbon-fiber-wrapped exterior wrapped around a rifled, stainless-steel core. Both of these barrels offer enhanced cooling over other barrel designs and also reduce weight. The barrels are threaded and topped with muzzle brakes for added recoil control. A polished feed ramp also heightens reliability of operation.

One of the other noticeable features on the Smith & Wesson Performance Center SW22 Victory Target models is the inclusion of Tandemkross hiveGrips, which provide a thumbrest compatible with traditional bullseye pistol-gripping techniques. The trigger is also designed to enhance the target-shooting potential of the platform, having a flat-face design purpose-built to provide increased control. The trigger can be adjusted by end users to customize the length of the take-up and overtravel.

Other elements of the design include an extended magazine release and beveled magazine well, along with a Picatinny rail for mounting optics. Complete with a stainless-steel frame and fluted barrel, the overall weight of the platform is 38.2 ounces. With a carbon-fiber barrel equipped in lieu of the fluted option, that weight drops to 33.1 ounces. The guns ship with two 10-round magazines and can be ordered with an included Vortex Viper red-dot optic.

The suggested retail price on the Smith & Wesson Performance Center SW22 Victory Target pistols starts at $672.
