One of the essential tools to have in a solid daily-carry kit is a good pocket knife, and the Bear Edge Model 61104 from Bear & Son Cutlery is a folder designed to incorporate well into any user's EDC rig.

Built to provide compactness, lightness and durability, the Model 61104 is constructed with a sharpened, drop-point blade made from 440 stainless steel. The knife's blade features a taper-ground edge and measures 2.5 inches in overall length. On each side, near the folding point of the knife, users will find ambidextrous thumb studs that enable easy one-handed opening. The blade features a black coating to protect it from corrosion, wear and weather.

While folded, the 2.5-inch stainless-steel blade on the Bear Edge Model 61104 pocket knife is surrounded by two stainless-steel handles, which are added to provide an extra level of ruggedness to this daily use knife. An ergonomic, textured design enhances a user's grip on the blades, ensuring they can use the precision tip of the drop-point blade for fine cuts when needed. Also located inside the handles is a liner lock made from stainless steel, which keeps the blade securely locked while deployed. The overall length of the knife is 6 inches with the blade extended and locked into place. With the blade closed, the knife measures 3.5 inches long.

Also featured on the knife is jimping along the spine of the blade, giving users enhanced control over the knife when employed in making small movements and actions at the tip. The knife also incorporates a low-profile metal pocket clip that keeps the knife secured for tip-up carry. Despite the rugged, all-metal design of the knife, the Bear Edge Model 61104 weighs in at only 1.2 ounces, making it perfect for pocket carry. The suggested retail price on the knife is $34.99.
