For 2018, Mossberg engineers went back to the drawing board with their precision-rifle chassis, developing an all-new aluminum chassis design that promotes durability, modularity and accuracy. These redesigns developed into the new MVP Precision Rifle launched at SHOT Show 2018.

In addition to the design of the rifle, a number of new caliber options are also available on the redesigned platform, including the new long-range .224 Valkyrie developed by Federal Premium.
