After years of intensive development and testing, Magpul launched its Pro 700 Rifle Chassis in early 2018, providing owners of short-action Remington 700 rifles and custom rifle actions using a Remington 700 footprint with an all-new precision-rifle chassis that enhances performance and versatility.

The Magpul Pro 700 Rifle Chassis features a full skeleton machined from 6061-T6 anodized aluminum, providing a V-bedding block that free-floats the barrel for enhanced accuracy. The entire metal chassis is then coated in Magpul's durable polymer material for added comfort, durability and noise-dampening capability. One of the stand-out elements of the chassis is the use of a folding stock for compact transport and storage.

Left-handed shooters will appreciate the fully ambidextrous design of the Magpul chassis. The product fits both right- and left-handed versions of the Remington 700, thanks to a swappable bot-cutout plate. The cheek riser and stock hinge are also completely adjustable, allowing for a full mirror setup with a simple flip of several key components.

The folding stock on the chassis is secured through a reversible hinge made from Melonite-treated 4140 steel. When the stock folds, the unique design secures the bolt handle into place, and the captured design is compatible with a range of aftermarket bolt handles designed for the Model 700 platform. For users who prefer to have a fixed stock, an adapter can be used to permanently affix the stock into its deployed configuration.

Grip comfort is enhanced through the inclusion of an injection-molded polymer pistol grip that incorporates a 5-degree sweep and an enhanced palm swell for added comfort. The grip can be adjusted up to 0.75 inch forward or backward with a Hex wrench. An additional grip is included that provides owners with a more-aggressive sweep and larger palm swell.

Other features on the Magpul Pro 700 Rifle Chassis include an AICS-compatible magazine well that's specially optimized for use with PMag 5- and 10-round AC magazines. The chassis also features rotation-limited quick-detach sling-swivel mounts with Melonite-treated finishes, as well as a total of 21 M-Lok accessory-attachment slots. An enlarged trigger guard and ambidextrous Melonite-treated magazine release allow for easy use and manipulation with gloved hands.

The suggested retail price on the Magpul Pro 700 Rifle Chassis is $999.95.
