Taking accurate shots at long distances on steel and game becomes much more difficult without a solid rest from which to shoot, and good rifle rests are hard to find in the field. The new Bog-Pod Rapid Shooting Rest from Battenfeld Technologies makes shooting in the field easier and brings more versatility to a shooter's setup.

The Bog-Pod Rapid Shooting Rest is built using the company's Switcheroo shooting rest, which allows for a full 360-degree rotation on the rest, ensuring that shooters don't have to change their rest's footing in order to take a running shot or quickly adjust a shooting angle.

The Bog-Pod rest also features a simple, collapsible design that allows the rest to easily fit into a field backpack, allowing users to pack it away until a solid shooting rest is needed in the field. The rest can deploy quickly from its folded storage position, enabling shooters to get on target quickly with greater accuracy and precision.

The Bog-Pod Rapid Shooting Rest features a cast-aluminum and polymer construction, enabling it to withstand the wear and tear that comes with field use, ensuring that owners will always be able to have a solid shooting platform from which to take a shot that counts. The rest features tripod legs with rubber feet for added traction on solid surfaces.

The rest features a total collapsed length of 12.8 inches and weighs just 21.6 ounces, making it easy to store and carry into the field. Once deployed, the rest provides shooters with a minimum rest height of 7 inches up to a maximum height of 11 inches, adjustable through a twist-lock elevation-adjustment screw located on the central axis of the rest.

The rest only comes in a black finish with red rubber feet. The suggested retail price on the Bog-Pod Rapid Shooting Rest is $44.99.

We hear you (pun intended)! This year, we are reporting manufacturer’s sound-reduction rating where available. Now, not every manufacturer makes that information publicly available, so you’ll see a fair number of “N/As” where no decibel-reduction numbers were provided, but rest assured that, despite what you might think, the noise-reduction rating is one of the least important factors when choosing a new suppressor (more on that in a future article).
