The FLIR Armasight Apollo Pro family of thermal sights are specifically designed to provide users with a reliable thermal optic that provides consistent imaging with the details needed to make the perfect shot, even in low-light conditions.

The Apollo Pro family is available with five different models that all provide shooters with a tough-built long-wave-infrared optic that works by attaching to the front of a variable-magnification optic found on patrol rifles and tactical bolt-action guns in order to give users an added level of observation and the ability to continue operations in nighttime conditions.

The optic also has the capability to be used as a standalone firearms optic, as well as a handheld observation tool. Several features built into the device itself include an integrated compass in addition to an inclinometer that allows users to range targets more effectively.

The FLIR Armasight Apollo Pro thermal sight is built using the company's advanced TAU-2 technology, providing 336x256 and 640x512 pixel formats. The optics use 50 mm or 100 mm Germanium objective lenses that are built to withstand the performance needs of professional and personal use. Images are displayed on a SVGA 800x600 OLED display.

The optics are constructed using common core electronics, along with signal processing and an infinity-focused large-format collimating eyepiece at its core, while five separate models offer specialized features for mission-specific purposes. To install the FLIR Armasight Apollo Pro to any firearm, a quick-detach locking piece is included and is designed to provide trouble-free and repeatable rail-mounting capabilities to users.

Those who plan to use the optic as a standalone sight have a special color pallet available to them that provides users with the best possible contrast in order to determine target details and ensure accuracy. The optics also have built-in electronic zoom that is available in the 640x512 format only, giving users the ability to electronically zoom from 1x to 2x, 4x and 8x.

Other features of the FLIR Armasight Apollo Pro models include a video-out/video-in connector, in addition to an external power module and a number of other accessories. The sights are also compatible with the company's laser rangefinders, battery packs and multi-spectral lasers. For standalone operation, the optics run on CR123A or AA batteries.

The FLIR Armasight Apollo Pro optics are completely made in the USA. The minimum advertised price for the company's new thermal imaging optics start at $6,995.
