Copper Basin announced the launch of the next generation of its Takedown Firearm Backpack, which provides gun owners with a low-profile method of transport and storage for their favorite range rifles. The new upgrade brings with it the ability to fit a larger number of guns than ever before.
"When we created the Takedown Firearm Backpack, our goal was to make it blend in and be as unassuming as possible," said Gary Cauble, director of sales and marketing for Copper Basin. "We chose nondescript colors and materials and avoided things like MOLLE, solid black coloring, [hook-and-loop fabric] or anything else that gave the outside observer any indication that a firearm was being transported."
While the pack doesn't appear from the outside to be built specifically for transporting firearms, the interior of the bag gives away the pack's true purpose. The top of the backpack features a rapid-access flap that allows users to quickly and easily access and deploy the firearms disassembled inside. The quick-access slot is one component of a larger fold-open construction found in the pack that allows owners to easily access every aspect of the bag easily in the field or on the range.
The interior dimensions of the bag are specially constructed in order to accommodate any one of a number of firearms, along with the gun's installed bipod and optic as well. No longer will users have to worry about remounting accessories and riflescopes once they're in the field. To further hide the pack's true purpose during transport, Copper Basin includes several layers of foam that disguise the contours of a stored rifle, ensuring that outside viewers can't tell what's being stored inside.
On the exterior of the Takedown Firearm Backpack, outside of the main storage compartment, there are multiple gear-storage pockets, along with webbing and a stow strap that allows users to secure the bag to the back of a car seat.
The pack is compatible with a wide range of guns, including: Henry AR-7 Survival Rifle, Century Arms AK pistols, Kel-Tec Sub-2000 rifles, Kriss Vector Gen II SDPs and SBRs, Ruger 10/22 Takedown, SIG Sauer MPX, Zenith MKEs and many compact shotguns.
The suggested retail price on the Copper Basin Takedown Firearm Backpack is $99.99.
