Hudson Manufacturing launched its innovative H9 pistol at SHOT Show 2017, and the company still brought a great deal of hype to the 2017 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits.

The new pistol incorporates a 1911-style trigger and grip angle into a design that also blends in a striker-fired operating system. The pistol also features a unique recoil-spring system that lowers the bore axis and works to reduce felt recoil, thus improving speed and accuracy.

The gun uses a stainless-steel slide, chassis and barrel mated to a steel frame and is chambered in 9 mm. The gun has a double-stack magazine well that holds 15 +1 rounds of ammo. The modularity of the design is another selling point. The pistol offers ambidextrous slide-stops, along with a reversible magazine catch. The company also sells a replacement trigger that removes the integrated safety sold in the original model. The gun can also be modified to include a thumb safety.

The suggested retail price on the new Hudson H9 pistol is $1,147.
