Bushnell announced the introduction of a brand-new line of riflescopes at the 2017 NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits. The new Engage line of riflescopes and binoculars feature the latest developments in optical technology.
"The Engage line is built to outperform all other comparable scopes and binoculars and completely dominate the elements," said Curtis Smith, global product director for Bushnell. "The only sure thing about any environment is that it will change, but Engage optics were built from the inside out to deliver world-class performance every time, in every condition."
One element of the new Engage line is the use of the company's new EXO Barrier lens coating. The fully multi-coated lenses used in the new line are designed to produce bright images while simultaneously working to reduce glare and repel oil, water, debris and dust. According to the company, the new EXO Barrier forms a molecular bond with the glass and fills in pores inside of the glass in order to provide a slick surface that will not wear away.
The riflescopes also feature the company's new Deploy MOA reticle that provides shooters with 1-MOA windage and elevation marks. Dialing is made easier through the use of the company's Toolless Zero Reset Locking Turrets.
"Engage scopes offer a full suite of the modern features hunters and shooters are looking for," said Greg Palkowitsh, riflescope product manager. "The Deploy Reticle and Zero Reset Targets give shooters all the confidence they need for mid- to long-range shots."
Other features of the new line include five models with a 1-inch main tube and capped elevation and windage turrets. Four other models will be available with 30 mm main tubes and the Zero Reset Locking Turrets.
