The latest piece of gear out from Tract Optics, known for its quality optics sold at affordable prices, is the new Response AR mount, designed to provide users with the best possible optics-mounting solution for an AR-15 rifle.

The new Response AR mount was developed by the designers at Tract, who worked side-by-side with engineers from Warne Mounts, a company known for its high-quality scope-mounting gear. The resulting mount is designed to work well with the Tract Response riflescope and will mate easily with any Picatinny or Weaver-style rail.

When using the Response AR mount, which is made from lightweight 6061 aluminum, the company recommends that users torque the base of the mount with 65 inch-pounds of torque and use the thread-locking compound that ships with the mount in order to avoid loosening the mounting screws under recoil. After installing the riflescope, the rings themselves should be torqued to 25 inch-pounds in order to provide a solid grip on the scope body without damaging the scope itself.

The new Tract Response AR mount comes in both matte-black and graphite finishes. The suggested retail price on the matte-black model is $58, while the graphite model retails at a suggested price of $68.
