Apex Tactical announced the addition of two models of the company's Action Enhancement Trigger and Duty/Carry Kit for the new Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0, providing owners with either a polymer or aluminum trigger body.

The new kits are drop-in replacements of the factory hinged trigger and provide shooters with a more ergonomic and responsive trigger that still includes a center-mounted pivoting safety, which preserves all factory safety values. The new trigger works to produce a smoother trigger pull and reduce overall trigger travel by about 30 percent.

Other benefits of the new kit include a shorter trigger reset length and a reduced trigger pull weight. Apex Tactical claims that trigger pull weight is reduced approximately 1 pound from the standard factory trigger pull, providing a new trigger with a pull weight in the 5- to 5.5-pound range.

The new trigger kits also include the following replacement parts: heavy-duty 1/8-inch sear spring, machined sear, trigger return spring, striker block kit and slave pin.

The kits work in 9 mm and .40 S&W models of the M&P M2.0 and are also compatible with the original M&P model in .45 ACP. The suggested retail price for the kit is $119.95 with a polymer trigger and $154.95 for the aluminum trigger.
