Present Arms offers this AR-15 Sentinel Plate Kit to AR-15 owners looking for an easy work platform for their AR rifles and pistols.

A number of companies offer magazine-well stands for working on AR-style firearms, but the majority of the options on the market are designed to mount on a workbench and are permanent attachments using screws and bolts. The Sentinel Plate can be used anywhere and can store easily on any shelf, allowing AR owners to work on rifles in multiple areas.

The Sentinel plate is made from CNC-machined polymer and features a deep tray that allows users to contain and keep track of small AR parts during builds, cleaning or other maintenance. The magazine post is attached with two steel dowels that mate up with matching holes in the base plate. The base plate measures approximately 5 inches wide and 8.5 inches long with a total depth of about an inch.

The Sentinel Plate Kit comes with a magazine post sized for AR-15 receivers, but an AR-10-sized magazine post is also available from the company. Present Arms warns that the AR-10 block will not work with Rock River Arms and Armalite AR-10 rifles. The base will also work with the company's wide array of pistol magazine posts, allowing users to perform cleaning and maintenance on their handguns as well as their ARs.

After maintenance or building is performed, the base plate can be reversed to show an attractive, textured pattern that serves as an easy display platform for any AR-15 rifle. The display features the same mounting holes as the work platform, so pistol magazine posts can also be used. The suggested retail price on the Present Arms AR-15 Sentinel Plate Kit is $69.95.
