New for 2017, Wilson Combat expanded on its line of Beretta-based tactical pistols with the new Wilson Combat Beretta 92G Centurion Tactical, designed as an ideal everyday-carry pistol based on the popular Beretta 92.

The basic design of the Wilson Combat Beretta 92G Centurion Tactical takes the frame from the company's Brigadier Tactical pistol and mates it with an all-new Centurion slide that measures only 4.25 inches in length. The new slide is paired up with a barrel measuring 4.3 inches long, making it much more compact and usable in a concealed-carry rig. The barrel is machined from stainless steel, features a recessed muzzle crown and comes in a black Bruniton finish.

Spec-wise, the Centurion Tactical is chambered in 9 mm, like the base model Beretta 92, and features a magazine capacity of up to 20 rounds. The gun ships with two 17-round magazines and one 20-round magazine. The overall length of the pistol is 7.75 inches long, height is 5.5 inches and width measures in at 1.5 inches. With an empty 17-round magazine, the pistol weighs 33.2 ounces.

The Brigadier Tactical frame mates up several different features found on both the Beretta M9A1 and 92A1, taking the M9A1 frame and adding the rounded trigger guard more commonly seen on the 92A1. The frame also features enhanced checkering to give shooters added purchase and grip control while shooting. Both the frontstrap and backstrap of the gun are checkered, and the pistol sports thin G10 grips made by VZ Grips that are designed to provide a slimmer grip profile than other Beretta grips on the market.

Other enhanced features found in the frame include the company's Elite II skeletonized hammer, a beveled magazine well and a Wilson Combat Mag Guide, all designed to promote smooth and reliable operation. The pistol features all-steel controls, including the decocker, trigger, magazine release and guide rod. The decocker comes with the G configured ambidextrous decocker. The frame also includes an integrated accessory-mounting rail for the attachment of a light or laser.

The Wilson Combat Beretta 92G Centurion Tactical also features a Ken Hackathorn-designed Ameriglo tritium front sight paired up with a Wilson Combat Rear U-Notch Battlesight. The starting price on the new pistol is $1,250.
