Bushnell announced the launch of several new sighting accessories for AR-style rifles in the fall of 2017, specifically adding several laser-sight models to its lineup. One of the new introductions from the company is the Haste laser sight, specially designed and built to enhance the capabilities of any modern sporting rifle.
The Bushnell Haste laser sight features a unique housing that provides users with an angled foregrip that helps to provide a secure hold on the fore-end of any compatible AR handguard. The shape of the laser sight is molded to clamp onto any standard Picatinny rail, ensuring that users have an easy way to mount their laser sight in a position that enables intuitive, close-range laser sighting.
“Keeping the laser in-line with bore is paramount to accuracy,” Bushnell AR Optics Line Manager Bryan Parrish said. “And we were able to do that with improved ergonomics. It allows you to better grip the rifle and provide a more stable shooting platform.”
The polymer housing used on the Bushnell Haste laser sight is completely waterproof, allowing it to perform in nearly any environment and ensuring that users have a close-range sighting system that they can count on, even in rugged conditions. The angled design of the grip means that owners can attach the device to both a standard 16-inch AR carbine or even an AR pistol, all without falling afoul of NFA regulations that prohibit the attachment of a vertical foregrip on a pistol.
The class-III laser sight is activated through the use of a push-button mechanism located on both sides of the Bushnell Haste, ensuring that both left- and right-handed users can easily and quickly operate the sighting system. Once the button is pushed, the laser functions in a constant-on mode that can be turned off with a secondary click of the button.
In addition, the Bushnell Haste also allows for an easy battery change without removing the unit from a rifle's rail, ensuring that users can maintain zero. The Haste is adjustable for windage and elevation and can be had in both red and green laser options. The suggested retail price on the red-laser model is $248.95, while the green-laser model retails at a suggested price of $348.95.
