Magpul expanded its lineup of aftermarket X-22 stocks for the Ruger 10/22 Takedown with the addition of the Backpacker stock.

The Backpacker stock is designed for those looking to transport their rifles in a discreet, convenient package. The stock is made from polymer and features an ergonomic handguard along with an optional QD sling mount, an integrated grip storage compartment and a hinged storage compartment in the buttstock that can hold up to three spare 10-round magazines.

The stock also features the same non-slip rubber butt pad found on Magpul's MOE SL line of stocks. In addition, it also features a locking interface that allows users to attach the barrel assembly to the receiver during transport.

The drop-in stock is compatible with all factory Ruger 10/22 takedown models, as well as the Tactical Solutions SBX barrel. The stock is available in black, flat dark earth, gray and olive drab. The Backpacker stock will be available in Spring 2017 and will retail at a suggested price of $109.95.
