The PHNX-MBS Muzzle Brake System from VDC Armory is designed to work with rifles that do not have any threaded muzzle for traditional muzzle brakes.

The system is sold as a two-part assembly that allows users to change muzzle devices using standard industry thread patterns. The first part of the PHNS-MBS is the clamp, which requires two measurements from the rifle owner in order to purchase. Simply measure the barrel diameter at the muzzle and 1.5 inches behind the muzzle, and VDC Armory will make a custom clamp to fit.

The second part of the system from the company is the threaded muzzle device, which is bored to any custom caliber the end user desires. The device comes with a 5/8-24 TPI pattern, allowing users to replace the included muzzle device with any device featuring a matching pattern.

The clamp itself uses 10 stainless-steel socket head cap screws in order to securely clamp the device to a barrel. The clamp itself is machined from stainless steel in order to match the hardness and heat-transfer properties of most rifle barrels.

Consumers can purchase the PHNX-MBS Muzzle Brake System in the following finishes: smooth stainless, tumbled stainless, graphite black and flat dark earth. The suggested retail price for the PHNX-MBS starts at $99.
