Honor Defense announced the expansion of its flagship Honor Guard pistol line with the addition of a long-slide version.

The Honor Defense Long Slide still maintains the same modular chassis system found in the original Honor Guard, but it includes an extended 3.8-inch barrel and an accessory rail.

"The Long Slide version has been a request from consumers since we first launched," said Gary Ramey, president of Honor Defense. "A key benefit with the longer barrel is the integrated rail for lights or other accessories. The firearm features the same chassis system as the Sub-Compact. This highlights the modularity of our firearms."

Otherwise, many of the same features found in the Honor Guard Sub-Compact are present in the Long Slide version. Both still feature a stainless steel modular chassis, ambidextrous slide catch, ambidextrous magazine release, snag-free sights and two interchangeable backstraps.

Like the original, the Long Slide is also a striker-fired design with a seven-pound trigger pull and a short-reset trigger. All Honor Defense handgun models can handle 9mm +P loads with ease. Suggested retail price on all models offered by Honor Defense is $499.
