Knives are much like guns in many ways. The sky's the limit when it comes to options, styles, finishes and construction. However, at the end of the day, sometimes simplest is best. For a simple do-it-all, everyday-carry tool, one need look no further than the Drifter from CRKT.

The Drifter is designed to be a "logo knife." That is, companies looking for an inexpensive platform to stamp their logo on for consumers can pick up a bulk order of these inexpensive folders and laser-etch whatever design they wish on the flat, plain-finished blade. This particular example comes from Mission First Tactical.

For consumers, the Drifter offers another kind of benefit. It's a high-quality pocket knife from a well-known company for, comparatively speaking, a reasonable price. The knife features a blade made from stainless steel with a gray titanium-nitride finish and measures 2.875 inches in length. The total overall length when opened is 6.5 inches.

The handle is made from black G10 laminate with a stainless-steel pocket clip. The interior of the handle features stainless-steel liners with a liner lock. The blade also features thumb studs for easy opening.

The CRKT Drifter is available with several blade styles, including Razor-Sharp, Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated edges. The suggested retail price for the Drifter is $39.99.
