Weapon Shield is a new kind of firearms cleaner that is designed to effectively clean and lubricate firearm actions without the use of harsh, toxic chemicals.

The use of volatile organic compounds is common in most popular gun cleaners, and these chemicals can be harmful to people and animals who are exposed to the toxins over a long period of time.

Weapon Shield uses a proprietary Advanced Boundary Film technology that dissolves and removes residue from a firearm's interior while still remaining non-toxic, non-mutagenic, non-flammable and environmentally friendly.

Weapons Shield comes in two forms. For in-depth cleaning, lubrication and protection, each stage of cleaning is separated into its component parts with a solvent and grease. The company's solvent works to remove burnt powder, lead and copper fouling from a firearm's bore.

The grease works to provide protection against wear and extreme pressure while providing lubrication and friction reduction. The technology also works to resist water washout.

The company also sells a combination cleaner, lubricant and preservative that uses its Advanced Boundary Film technology to provide protection against metal-to-metal wear and friction; reduce the buildup of dust, debris and other foulings and increase reliability and accuracy.

Weapon Shield's claim is that its ABF technology reduces the coefficient of friction between the bullet and bore after use, which assists in the movement of the bullet down the bore.

The cleaner, lubricant and protectant combination comes with a precision applicator that allows users to apply the chemical precisely where it is needed.

Multiple sizes are available for the CLP, solvent and grease. The combination cleaner and lubricant comes in an oiler pen all the way up to a 5 gallon bottle. The solvent alone comes in 4 ounce bottles up to 5 gallon bottles. Grease is sold in syringes as small as 10ml up to tubs as large as 5 pounds.

The company's oiler pen with the combination CLP retails at a suggested price of $8.49. A 4 ounce container of Weapon Shield solvent retails for $11.99, while a syringe of Weapon Shield grease retails for $9.99.
