GunVault, a company known for its line of quick-access safes, launched its newest safe model at the 2016 National Sporting Good Wholesalers show. The new ARVault is aimed at owners of America's most popular rifle: the AR-15.

"As the market leader in quick-access and portable vaults, combined with the incredible popularity of the AR, the release of the ARVault is a natural addition to our lineup," said Pete Danielson, VP of marketing and customer experience. "We did a considerable amount of marketing research while working closely with numerous AR rifle owners to deliver on their requests so that they can also enjoy the benefits of quick-access security as our other GunVault customers have done for over 25 years."

The ARVault is designed to allow AR owners to have a secure storage solution for their rifle without having to invest in a large, heavy traditional gun safe. The vault is made from 16-gauge steel and is 14 inches long, 11 inches wide and 4 inches in height and weighs a total of 10 pounds. The interior of the safe includes padded foam that fits most AR-style rifles.

Access is provided through the company's patented No-Eyes quick-access keypad. An upgrade option also allows for the use of a biometric lock. The ARVault is also the company's only model that features the Dual Lock System, which includes locks on opposite corners to prevent entry by pry bars. The vault can be mounted onto a wall, during which the rifle is secured through a series of internal straps.

The suggested retail price for the unit was not available at press time.
