Introduced last month, the Velocity Triggers Drop-In AR-15 trigger offer two styles and three trigger pull weights to improve your AR-15. The milspec trigger that comes with most lower receiver parts kits are often rudimentary and less-than-ideal for any sort of precision work.

The Velocity Triggers unit we received here at HQ is the traditional curved trigger (a competition-style straight trigger is also available) with the 3-pound trigger pull. Installation requires removing the old trigger and hammer from the lower receiver, putting the Velocity Triggers replacement in place, replacing the pins, then tightening a pair of installation screws to keep the unit in place.

Also available are complete lower parts kits that utilize the Velocity Triggers upgrade. Should you be looking to build your own AR-15 into a DMR-type rifle or perhaps a long-range target shooter, this is an affordable option giving a quality trigger at the time of build.

MSRP: $150 for the trigger, $180 for the trigger and lower parts kit.
