For increased expansion and lighter recoil, HPR offers a mid-weight 150-grain SP .300 AAC Blackout round between the fast 110-grain FMJ and the suppressor-friendly 220-grain EMCON.

We covered the lighter, 110-grain FMJ version of HPR Ammunition's .300 AAC Blackout ammunition earlier, and there's a heavier version available. This 150-grain, SP version is more recoil-friendly and offers controlled expansion and increased terminal performance according to company specifications.

At 1,733 fps from the muzzle as claimed by HPR, this round is still well into supersonic velocity. Sound suppression, while still possible, will obviously be less complete than with a subsonic round like the 220-grain version through the Emcon line.

MSRP: $24.99 per 20-round box.
