.300 AAC Blackout Hornady Custom 110-grain V-Max

posted on December 13, 2013

Although this is technically a .300 Whisper load, it is compatible with rifles chambered in .300 AAC Blackout. When compared to the other supersonic offerings, the 110-grain V-Max load delivered average accuracy and was 100-percent reliable in both guns. This is probably the best of the lot for use inside a home or anywhere over-penetration might be a concern. Penetration equaled that of the average defensive handgun round but with markedly more damage.
