We've covered thermal imaging devices before here at ShootingIllustrated.com, and now Seek Thermal has an option available for the Android platform.

With a 206X156 thermal sensor array, a 36 degree field-of-view and an operating range from -40 degrees C to +330 degrees C, the standard Thermal imaging camera is a full-feature thermal imaging device. Attaching to a Smartphone with Android operating system via the micro-USB port, the XR hooks directly to the phone to provide thermal images as needed.

The XR (extended range) has a more narrow field-of-view (20 degrees) but features twice the magnification for a subsequent increase in visibility. The XR also has an adjustable focus to compensate for the zoom capabilities.

The Seek Thermal camera app is a free download and is designed to operate with Android devices. A Seek Thermal XR is also available for the iOS, for iPhones 5 and higher.

MSRP: $299 (Android or iOS).
