We've covered the Zhukov-S folding version previously, but just released to the market last week was Magpul's MOE AK fixed stock for the AK-47/AKM/AK-74-pattern family of rifles. This inexpensive upgrade replaces the utilitarian wooden stock with a lighter polymer version impervious to the elements and chemical treatments.

Magpul's MOE AK stock replaces the standard wood stock with little more than a little elbow grease and a 1/8-inch hex key. Simply remove the old stock, attach the wedge block to the MOE AK Stock then screw it to the existing holes in the rifle's receiver. Tighten as needed, then replace the storage cover (it needs to be removed to access the hex screws) and function-check.

The stock comes with all hardware needed and features a storage compartment accessed via a slide latch. It's suitable for batteries, replacement parts or other small items.

MSRP: $59.95. Available in black currently, with Flat Dark Earth, Stealth Gray, OD Green and plum to become available at a later date.
